Jumping In for a Cause — The Polar Plunge

Some people say we go the extra mile. We say we go the extra splash! Every year, O’Boys takes part in the Polar Plunge, one of Minnesota’s most iconic fundraising events benefiting Special Olympics Minnesota. It’s cold, it’s crazy, and it’s for a cause that’s close to our hearts.

Participating in the Polar Plunge is about more than bravery—it’s about solidarity. It’s about standing shoulder to shoulder with our neighbors to raise funds and awareness for individuals with intellectual disabilities, empowering them to compete, grow, and shine through sports.

The experience is always unforgettable, reminding us of what community spirit truly looks like: people coming together, enduring a bit of discomfort, and having a great deal of fun—all for something bigger than themselves.

Small Acts, Big Impact

While sponsorships and events are an important part of O’Boys Cares, we also believe that giving back happens in small, everyday ways. Our team regularly supports community initiatives, donates time to local causes, and helps families in need whenever possible.

One of the ways we’re making a difference is through our partnership with the Joyce Uptown Food Self, where during the holiday season we offered a free furnace tune up with a donation of 6 or more non perishable items.

This year, we’re also proud to sponsor the Minnesota Handball Team, supporting athletes who embody the same dedication, teamwork, and community spirit that guide everything we do.

Whether it’s volunteering, collecting food, or backing local sports, we see generosity as an ongoing commitment. When you give with sincerity, the impact goes far beyond the moment—it creates a ripple effect that strengthens everyone around you.

Thank you to everyone who trusted O’Boys with your plumbing and hvac service needs in the last few weeks!! With your support we were able to donate $2650 to Toys for Tots and help local families this holiday season!!

PLUS some of the guys got to take a picture with a giant fake check which I’m sure was so exciting for them!
